We are pleased to be able to offer tailor made Water Colour on location courses in Broadstairs, Kent.

Special mid-week intensive water colour courses

With the expert tuition of local artist, Peter Buckey, who specializes in teaching and inspiring people to paint on location. Small groups will allow for individual attention whatever the level of skill. Peter has helped many water colour artists overcome their nervousness of painting on location and his classes are always lively and inspiring. Accommodation will be in South Lodge, our Four Star Silver Award winning guest house, which is just a few minutes walk from the main beach and the town's numerous restaurants, pubs and specialist shops.

We are able to offer very competitive prices and tailor the courses to suit the needs and abilities of each group. We cater for courses lasting 2 to 4 days in May, June, July, September, October & early November.

These prices include accommodation and are based on 2 people sharing a twin or double room; for single occupancy there is an additional charge of £15 per night. All accommodation includes breakfast.

There is a range of cafes and restaurants nearby to suit all budgets for lunch and evening meals.

As the Thanet coast is great for exploring, walking, swimming and bird-watching, painters may want to bring along a non-painting friend or partner. The charge for the non-painter sharing a room will be between £30 and £33 per person per night depending on the length of the stay.

Paper and boards will be provided by Peter but group members should bring their own paints and brushes. Easels are not needed.

Warm and waterproof clothing is a must as in the event of bad weather painting will still take place outside, although shelter will be found. As Peter is also an expert framer, group members can take advantage of his reduced framing rates to take home a professional looking painting ready to hang.
